Green Street Bollards, 2020.
Bespoke bollards for Green Street celebrate the identity of the high street. They will be made from concrete reusing aggregate from local construction sites which would otherwise go to landfill. Some of the bollards will include cast resin ‘tops’ containing small model objects based on sweets and cakes found locally as well as other shared narratives about history and contemporary life in Queen’s Market and along Green Street. The initial set of bollards will be installed near Upton Park Station. In future it may be possible for them to be installed in additional locations along Green Street as well.
